Essential Oil Diary and my Soothing Bite Blend

Last week essential oils helped me tackle a variety of everyday issues, from bites to a digestive hiccup, pulled muscles and congestion headaches as well the usual challenges I have with sleep. I also used them to lift my mood, help me relax and as a pleasurable means of skin care. I also use them as part of a non-toxic but very effective cleaning fluid.

My blend for soothing bug bites

I originally put this blend together when I had an irritated skin reaction. At the time it didn’t work very well because I was just oversensitive to everything. I later tried it out on a bug bite and it provided immediate relief, so I’ve been using it for that ever since:

In a 5 ml rollerball bottle:

  • 3 drops lavender
  • 2 drops arborvitae
  • 2 drops frankincense
  • 1 drop peppermint
  • 1 drop cypress
  • Topped up with fractionated coconut oil.
