For many years now I’ve been working on my wellness in a holistic way combining spiritual, mindset, emotional and physical approaches.
Two of the biggest personal lessons I keep getting faced with, over and over again, have been learning to approach life without pressure and surrendering to the support of the universe. Every time I think I’m getting somewhere with them, I seem to be faced with another challenge that takes me to a new level of letting go and a new level of belief in how I am supported.
This year I’ve been enjoying the works of Abraham with Esther and Jerry Hicks. It’s taken me decades to move from a very scientific world view to one in which I can believe our universe contains spiritual beings who are able to communicate with us via human channels and do so with an intention of helping us expand and evolve.
My first steps away from the ‘physical only’ world view was to see spirit, simply as an energetic force of good/love and the universe as one unified field of energy. The first book I read which involved past lives and spiritual ascendency made me think that there were some nutty people in this world and when I first met someone who talked about past lives and channeling spiritual beings, I really thought she was crazy. However, over the years I have met more and more people who channel and have discovered that they are genuine beautiful people who have a special gift to share.
I’ve been hearing about the Abraham Hicks’ books for several years, but I guess I wasn’t ready to read them until relatively recently when I finally decided to check them out. Now they are making a huge difference to my life.
There is one particular passage from ‘Ask and it is Given’ that has had a profound effect on my ability bringing ease into my life, with the knock-on effect of improving my wellbeing:
You did not come into this environment to create through action, instead your action is meant to be a way in which you enjoy what you have created through thought
To someone who has very little physical energy available for action, this passage provided a huge sense of relief and hope. Believing this passage means that I can completely let go of pushing and striving to make my desires happen with physical actions; it allows me to dream and desire, let go and surrender and just enjoy taking action when the energy is available to me.
With this level of letting go and surrender, my life has reached a new level of ease. And with this new level of ease, I am experiencing so much more peace, joy and wellbeing.
In addition to that, the things that I need and desire are manifesting very easily in my life. I still get moments when my old patterns of ‘you’ve got to make it happen by pushing and striving’ show up, but I’m finding it so much easier to show them examples of how much better things work out when I let go and trust.
How good would it feel to you, if you could truly believe that you don’t have to make anything happen with action, you can create a life of joyful wellness with your thoughts?
